Accomplishments for Fiscal Year Ending 12/31/2009

Drafting the next phase of the USA Pavilion, with a focus on sustainable building technologies.
Participation in the International Zone discussions/planning/process
AVIUSA has been a channel for support for Sadhana Forest attracting a large number of international youth working to restore the unique local Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest.
AVIUSA created a Facebook page posting original and international stories about Auroville from the "Ultimate Frisbee Team" in Auroville to the visit of UNESCO's new Director General.
eVolve is our Newsletter, emailed throughout the year and published in hard copy as Evolve, recapping important projects in Auroville and reflecting on the American experience.
AVIUSA Board members joined members of Auroville in Chicago for the premier of a new documentary made by a group of Catholic sisters consisting of a number of interviews and reflections on the vision and reality of Auroville. We are anticipating a release of the final version in 2010.
AVIUSA took a two-day training in January 2010 in Marshall Rosenberg's highly-regarded Nonviolent Communication to better prepare ourselves for active collaboration with the many initiatives and demands coming out of Auroville.

Objectives for Fiscal Year Beginning 01/01/2010

Continue efforts at fundraising for essential projects in Auroville
Further expand and develop cultural and student exchanges between Auroville and the United States
Establish greater interchange between visiting Aurovilians and students and other interested audiences in the United States
