Accomplishments for Fiscal Year Ending 12/31/2001

Auroville International USA launched a collaborative effort in the US and in Auroville to build the USA Pavilion in Auroville’s International Zone
In collaboration with an anonymous donor, helped create and fundraise $300 through the Mahalakshmi at Play in 2001 "Three for One" Matching Program, which benefited the Auroville Land Fund, the Matrimandir Inner Skin, and the USA Pavilion projects in Auroville
Hired a full time Executive Director to manage most of AVIUSA's activities.
Made major internal changes in our mode of operation at our headquarters
Started regularly publishing AVIUSA's Evolve Newsletter

Objectives for Fiscal Year Beginning 01/01/2002

Host the annual AVI Meeting of 2002, with an expected attendance of 50-60 people from around the world
Complete the Student Guest House as the first part of the USA Pavilion in Auroville's International Zone
Further expand and develop cultural and student exchanges between Auroville and the United States
Establish greater interchange between visiting Aurovilians and students and other interested audiences in the United States
Continue efforts at fundraising for essential projects in Auroville, such as securing the physical base for Auroville through the purchase of land
