at Play in 2001 "Three for One" Matching Program

In late 2001, an anonymous donor helped us create an ingenious
matching program in which 3 projects in Auroville benefitted
equally. The Matrimandir Inner Skin, the Auroville Land
Fund and the USA Pavilion each received $100,000 through
the program. For each donation that we received for any
of the three projects, the anonymous donor gave the same
amount to the other two projects. AVIUSA successfully raised
their target of $100,000, which was double matched by the
anonymous donor with an additional $200,000. In the end,
each of the three projects received $100,000. The following
mailings were sent out for this program, and can be of use
to anyone who is interested in creating another such program.
