General Contributions give us the most flexibility in our ongoing efforts to support projects in Auroville.
Recurring monthly donations are even more impactful. Knowing that your donation is coming every month helps with budgeting and planning. Select “Monthly” on the giving form to set up a monthly automatic donation using the method of your choice.

Enter your employer for support accessing matching donation programs. If you work at a participating employer, our software will do the work for you and your donation will be doubled. Please note that we are charged a nominal fee if you initiate a match through the software, so only initiate if you know that your employer offers a match. We are not charged for use of the software’s search function.
General contributions are partially used to support AVI USA’s operating budget. One of our primary purposes is supporting Auroville and projects that are inspired by their connection to Auroville and its founding principles. For any donation that is intended to support AVI USA partners and projects, AVI USA retains 10% to support our operating budget.
AVI USA only sends funds to partners and projects that have been fully vetted and are in compliance with our standards of excellence.

Partners and projects are subject to US regulatory approval before receiving funds. AVI USA’s listed projects are compliant with US nonprofit regulations.Regulatory approval may be delayed in the case of new or newly restructured projects. We will contact you in the case of a delay.
Our donation portal applies for Matching Donation Programs when you enter your employer. When donating by check or other methods, check for Matching Donations eligibility below. You will be prompted to follow the steps to double your check, wire transfer, stock or other donation through your participating employers portal. ❤️

Auroville is a unique experiment, the intentional community that has been in existence for the longest time, and one of the largest. We invite you to help ensure that this tradition continues with a legacy gift to support it’s continued development.
10% of every donation goes to support AVI-USA’s operating expenses, which include banking and transaction fees (5-8%), donor management software, education and outreach work, and accounting and administrative oversight.
