GRILLED STUFFED PUMPKIN FLOWERS
Culinarily speaking, one of the most beautiful characteristics of a pumpkin plant is that there is no waste and the entire plant can be consumed. The leaves are a substitute for spinach, its tendrils and tender shoots can be used in stir fries, the immature fruit can be cooked as a vegetable, the seeds can be dried, shelled and eaten and the flower when stuffed and grilled makes a beautiful dish.

The 365 Blog Project and Yuvabe, the Auroville tech + design team behind it
When Krishna McKenzie decided to start the 365 daily blog, Yuvabe, one of Auroville’s fastest growing initiatives, were the natural fit for developing the project. Only 5 minutes away from Solitude farm through the red dirt roads and forest cycle paths that connect Auroville’s neighborhoods, Yuvabe is a tech and design team with a strong focus on holistic development and growth.
Sriman Kota, the founder of Yuvabe, spent a decade and a half in the US and Europe working for IBM and other high profile companies. He found the missing links for his personal growth in Auroville, and moved there in 2020. With his training and background, he created an environment of education and development for younger adults aged 18-28, providing pre or post-college tech, design, marketing and UI development training, building the Yuvabe professional teams solely from Auroville and local village students.
Yuvabe’s environment is focused not only on developing the Yuvabe team skills, but in equal measure on giving back to the community. The Yuvabe tech and design team can be found teaching skills and short programs in local village schools, lighting the spark of curiosity and learning in underserved communities. The education outreach initiative is as important to Yuvabe as their current projects for world class international companies.
