February 21, 2024 marks the 146th Birth Anniversary of Auroville’s founder, Mira Alfassa, know to all as The Mother. Below is a compilation of events at US Sri Aurobindo Centers you can attend online or in person.

In Auroville, Mother’s Birth Anniversary is celebrated with a dawn meditation at the Matrimandir Amphitheater. In Pondicherry, at the Ashram, Mother’s and Sri Aurobindo’s room are open for visitors. Devotees queue up on the streets surrounding the ashram, visiting the special quarters where Mother and Sri Aurobindo spent the latter part of their lives inspiring their followers and creating the blueprint of Auroville. The rooms radiate silence, peaceful presence and a deep history of the creation of Integral Yoga.
