President’s Letter

Coming back from India to the United States is always a big shift. In India, reverence is part of the atmosphere, and devotion flows freely. God is everywhere: in little street corner shrines, bits of string tied to sacred trees, and kolam artwork drawn outside doorsteps. Images of saints and ancient mantras are as common as cows and dogs wandering the streets.

A Nun’s Persective: Karsha Nuns visit Auroville

We are funding a trip to bring 10 nuns from Karsha Nunnery, Zanskar, Ladakh, to Auroville Pondicherry. Filmmaker Serena Aurora will create a documentary based on their travel experience to help bring awareness of the Karsha Nunnery.

Amir Azoulay & ATB in the US

TB trainer Amir Azoulay will be in the US leading workshops during the month of October. Amir left Israël to live in Auroville. Since then (2002) he focuses on practising & teaching ATB to children and adults. 25px

School Ashram Trip & Youth Camp

In 2024-2025, students from a few of Auroville’s Outreach Schools, Aikiyam, Isai Ambalam and Udavi, go on a school trip to Nainital base, Van Nivas, as the Himalayan Center of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram is called. This year, a generous sponsor has donated $2250 in Matching Funds towards a fundraiser for the trip. Join us in making … Read more
