WHO WE ARE
Auroville International USA (AVI USA) is a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization. Our purpose is to engage in charitable and educational activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
These activities include, but not are not limited, to supporting projects aligned with the founding ideals of Auroville and promoting wherever, whenever possible peace and understanding between nations and individuals, a living embodiment of an actual human unity, an environment for unending education, and constant progress for humankind.
Auroville International USA was first incorporated on August 8, 1973, as The Auroville Association. The Auroville Association received its nonprofit status in California on April 5, 1974. In 1983, in solidarity with the newly established Auroville International group in the Netherlands, the name was officially changed to Auroville International USA
AVI USA is an active and rapidly growing global organization. We support charitable projects that align with the charter of Auroville, a unique township in South India created with a remarkable vision by Mirra Alfasa of the Future for humanity and the Earth.

Auroville International USA serves projects working to support understanding and peace between diverse communities and individuals, unending education, conscious spiritual evolution, and Earth stewardship, which are the founding ideals of Auroville.
We work with project leaders, donors, and all those who aspire to integrate spiritual and material life.
We help projects develop sustainable funding, fiscal responsibility, and reliable programmatic outcomes.
We ensure donors that their contributions are used effectively.
We share inspiration from our projects with the world and invite all to explore and embody
