An Invitation to Dream of Auroville’s Future

Dear Friends,
This is an invitation to consider AVI USA in your legacy planning. Please join us in building a legacy that will live long into the future for the trusted Auroville projects we love.
As a child of Auroville who came to Pondicherry when I was under a year old in 1969, I have always been grateful to my mother’s generation. They allowed me to grow up in an unconventional manner that took advantage of emerging approaches to raising children that were experiential and heart-centered. Those 1960s visionaries opened the door for all of us to dream a little bigger and bolder and breathe kindness into our actions.
Nowadays I work at AVI USA as the director of development. This gives me the opportunity to connect hearts from all across the globe with our dynamic partners in Auroville and their innovative projects. I work with my small team at AVI USA to raise funds to support this unique and special place, as a dynamic, living laboratory dedicated to solving humanity’s most pressing problems. We do this by working with institutions, collectives, and individuals in the USA and around the world to support Auroville’s development as an experiment in human unity, Earth stewardship, and service. We invest our time, energy, and hearts in Auroville because of the hope and promise that it represents.
Recently I have become aware that my once big strong Mama has aged into a softer version of the person who toughed it out with no running water or electricity for so many years in Auroville. I am also present to her aversion to paperwork and practical planning for her twilight years and beyond. She would rather not think of a time when we may not be able to sit in the same room together and laugh uncontrollably.
In that spirit, we hope that at the point you are ready to do your estate planning you will consider creating a legacy gift to Auroville through AVI USA. I am here to help.
