We are continually inspired by the generosity of our community. A few years back we opened up the possibility of setting up monthly, weekly, or annual recurring donations. Your recurring gift can directly support a partner project, sustain our annual matching campaign, or cover AVI USA’s essential operating costs—so you see your generosity making a real difference every step of the way.
In the early days, fundraising for AVI USA was a very different story: letters written by hand, donor lists kept in pen-and-paper notebooks, and simple spreadsheets to track one-time gifts from people we happened to meet along the way. It was grassroots and heartfelt, but limited in reach. Fast forward to 2021, when we adopted a digital fundraising platform run by a young and enthusiastic collective in Brooklyn. Now donors can give directly from their phones, receive updates through the donation portal, and easily find contact details, project information, and the newest links, all in one place. What began as a handful of supporters has evolved into a global, connected community sustained by technology and trust.
As of this month, 45 donors have given 30 or more monthly donations. that’s over two and a half years of steady support! What an incredible milestone of dedication and care.
