AVI USA 2023/2024 Annual Report

A YEAR OF PARTNERSHIPS

Matthew Andrews Reflects on AVI USA’s 2023/2024

Dear Friends,

We’ve just finished our first ever annual report. It was a great exercise, and offered us the chance to pause, reflect, and review our accomplishments and trajectory.

This first report covers the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2024, which in our modern accelerated world seems like ages ago now. But everything that we did during that year set the stage for the current fiscal year, which will be drawing to an end in a few days. This has been our biggest year of growth yet, with more overall funds raised and more funds sent to our project partners in Auroville than ever before. As we look forward to the new fiscal year that begins July 1, the perspective provided by last year’s annual report and this year’s growth will help us plan to sustain the upward momentum.

I truly hope you will take some time to read the annual report. It’s long, as these things tend to be, but it’s rich and full of the texture and dynamism of Auroville. It shows where AVI USA’s donations came from, what they funded, and how the world was changed by our work. In the swirl of information and activity that we’re living through, the full inboxes and infinite scroll of content, this report offers you a focused look at the international support network for Auroville anchored by AVI USA.

Auroville is by nature positive, generative, and optimistic. Aurovilians are trying to do something that challenges our assumptions about ‘human nature’. They are looking for a way through enmity and strife to a space of co-creation. The annual report reflects that spirit and puts a face – or many faces – on it.

And if the report inspires you and you’d like to join our work to support project aligned with the founding ideals of Auroville, please do be in touch – info@aviusa.org.

With Love,
Matthew
