Donations to AVI USA’s Permanent Endowment Fund are dedicated to supporting operating and program-related needs over the long term, as determined by our Board. In making a gift to the
Permanent Endowment, you will have the security of knowing that your contribution is continuing to support AVI USA’s mission into the future. You can view the Permanent Endowment Fund Policy here.
Permanent endowment donations can be unrestricted as to the intended purpose or designated for a specific pre-approved project in Auroville. In the case of a designated donation to a specific pre-approved project, if at any time in the judgment of AVI USA it becomes impossible or impracticable to carry out or fund the project, AVI USA will instead support a project with purposes as similar as is practicable to the intended project’s purposes.
Gifts to the Endowment are not limited to Will Bequests. The AVI USA Permanent Endowment can be sustained by stock and mutual fund beneficiary designations, charitable remainder trusts and life insurance gifts. Call us to find out how to best help sustain the AVI USA Permanent Endowment.
Suggested language for the Permanent Endowment Bequest:
“I give [describe dollar amount /percentage/asset/remainder] to Auroville International USA., a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, Tax D 23-7360183, to be held and administered pursuant to the terms of the AVI-USA Permanent Endowment Fund.”
AVI USA’s primary office is located at 1324 33rd Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.”
I acknowledge and agree that Auroville International USA is the recipient of this donation and has full discretion and control over all donated funds.
This power includes the unilateral right to redirect funds to a different beneficiary who can accomplish the charitable purposes of the project that I intend to support, in accordance with the mission of AVI USA and the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s Accounting Standards Codification 958-605-25-25 and -26.
