AVI USA New Project Partners

Auroville International USA continues to grow as a center of partnership and collaboration. We regularly welcome new project partners who share the vision of human unity and conscious evolution.

We are excited to announce five new partners in June and July. The Auroville Library, Oli School, Prisma Audiobooks, Bharat Nivas Yoga and Wellness and Purnam Podcast Studio. Enjoy reading about them. The pages below contain links to the projects main website which you can explore to learn more.

Fertile East Farm

Fertile East Farm is a regenerative agriculture initiative dedicated to restoring the land while strengthening food security and ecological resilience in Auroville. Through agroforestry, sustainable farming, and integrated dairy and poultry systems, the farm cultivates food and natural resources that directly support the community. Rooted in environmental stewardship and collective well-being, the project serves as a living model of sustainable agriculture while providing stable livelihoods for local workers. Current priorities include expanding hibiscus and fruit cultivation, completing poultry infrastructure, reinforcing protective fencing, and maintaining the farm’s ongoing operations to ensure long-term benefits for Auroville.

PreCreche

Auroville Pre-Crèche is a community early childhood program providing a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers during their foundational years. The Pre-Crèche supports families in balancing parenting with work and service in Auroville through two core programs that focus on attachment, exploration, movement, and social development. At the same time, it strengthens Auroville’s educational ecosystem by supporting caregivers, offering continuity of care, and fostering a relationship-based approach to early childhood grounded in Integral Education principles. Your support helps sustain educators, safe spaces, and a holistic early childhood environment for Auroville’s youngest children community.

Kamadhenu Farm

Kamadhenu Organic Farm is a new initiative under the Farm Service Trust dedicated to strengthening food security in Auroville by cultivating fresh, nourishing food to be freely shared with the community. Currently in development, the land is being prepared for full productivity, with a vision of an integrated, non-commercial farm focused on rice, millet, and future dairy systems that support Auroville’s prosperity-based model where food is shared rather than sold. Rooted in service and collective well-being, the project aims to build long-term resilience through sustainable agriculture, community impact, and alignment with Auroville’s core values. The are looking to complete irrigation and land development, establish a dairy unit, build caretaker housing, and create essential storage and infrastructure, enabling the farm to begin directly nourishing the Auroville community.

NESS – New Era Secondary School

New Era Senior Secondary School (NESS) is an outreach school in Auroville providing CBSE education to children from surrounding villages, ensuring quality, inclusive learning for families with limited financial means. By bridging funding gaps and supporting students who might otherwise lack access to consistent schooling, NESS offers not just academics but a pathway to dignity, opportunity, and long-term stability. The school fosters holistic development through academics, sports, and extracurricular activities, and your support helps maintain essential infrastructure, improve classrooms, and sustain these programs, ensuring that education remains accessible and transformative for every student.

Dog Shelter New Team 2026

The Auroville Dog Shelter is now led by a new dedicated team committed to compassionate, sustainable care for dogs in Auroville and the surrounding bioregion. Building on years of sheltering, feeding, medical care, sterilisation, vaccination, and adoption efforts, the shelter is evolving into a model animal welfare ecosystem that reflects Auroville’s ethos of unity, harmony, and conscious service. The team provides daily care, veterinary treatment, sterilisation campaigns, and adoption services, while engaging the community through education on responsible pet care. Your support — through adoption, volunteering, or donations — helps ensure dignified, healthy lives for vulnerable animals.

AV Consulting – Smart Mini Grid

The Auroville Smart Mini Grid (Phase 1), led by Auroville Consulting, marks a significant step in sustainable energy innovation. Completed in 2020, the project features 122 kW of rooftop solar PV systems, a 50 kWh energy storage unit, and 68 smart meters with remote monitoring, integrated into Auroville’s internal distribution network. Together, these systems are expected to reduce Auroville’s reliance on the TANGEDCO grid by over 165,000 kWh annually. Developed in collaboration with Auroville Electrical Service, Sunlit Future, Aurinoco, and Cynergy, the Mini Grid demonstrates how distributed, connected renewable energy and storage solutions can power a sustainable energy future.

Language Lab Film

The Auroville Language Lab is more than a building — it’s a living testament to human unity, sustainable design, and innovative learning. With your support, we aim to create a 15-minute video highlighting the Lab’s three pillars — language learning, the Tomatis Method, and its unique eco-building — along with the people, research, and ongoing work that bring it to life. Designed to stay naturally cool without air-conditioning using a system of cooling towers, inlet, and outlet shafts, the Lab demonstrates how thoughtful architecture can reduce energy use while nurturing wellbeing. Your contributions will help complete the building, including remaining cooling towers, roof tiling, and classroom and cafeteria flooring, ensuring this inspiring space continues to foster learning, community, and a shared vision of a sustainable future.

Certitude Sports Ground

Established in the 1970s, Certitude Sportsground is a free, community-focused hub in Auroville where people of all ages come together to play, socialize, and build teamwork. Offering a wide range of activities — from tennis, football, and basketball to cricket, badminton, volleyball, frisbee, gym, and a children’s play area — the sportsground promotes health, fitness, and a strong sense of belonging. Over decades, it has welcomed hundreds of community members, fostering friendships and inclusive participation, and remains a rare open space in Auroville dedicated entirely to physical education and recreation. Ongoing improvements like a new water filter, tree pruning, and repainting will help maintain a safe, vibrant space for all, and your support ensures that this beloved community resource continues to thrive.

Auroville Botanical Gardens Herbarium

The Herbarium at Auroville Botanical Gardens (AURO) is a scientific resource documenting regional plant diversity to support ecological restoration and afforestation. Housed in a purpose-built facility, it provides online access to thousands of specimens and a dedicated research space for students and visiting researchers. Support enables digitization, database development, archival-quality storage, and global accessibility, directly benefiting conservation research and training. With over 12,000 preserved specimens and nearly 3,000 documented species, the Herbarium is a vital resource for restoration, scientific study, and ecological monitoring.

Budokan Aikido Dojo Auroville

The Aikido Dojo @ Budokan teaches non-violent Aikido, helping students build self-discipline, courage, emotional balance, and respect for others. Led by Cristo (Sempei) with support from volunteer Michael, classes welcome all ages and include practices like Aiki Taiso, Japanese Yoga, Tai Chi, and Shiatsu. Operating with minimal fees, the dojo remains accessible while fostering meaningful learning. Recent highlights include 60 new young students through Dehashakti, workshops with senior Aikido masters, and black belt preparation.

Endangered Craft Mugaam

The Endangered Craft Mugaam revives South Indian crafts through hands-on learning and cultural exchange, bringing around 200 children each year to learn directly from traditional artisans. Over one week, participants explore 30+ crafts, from pottery and kalamkari to wood carving and blacksmithing. fostering respect for manual work, ecological awareness, and cultural continuity. Artisans are fairly compensated, and the event operates not-for-profit, with this year’s theme on birds inspiring the week’s creations. The week concludes with Mugaam Day, a public celebration of performances, food, and exhibitions, uniting generations and communities in shared knowledge and creativity.

Savitri Art Offerings

The Sri Aurobindo Scholarship Fund supports a new generation of scholars advancing his work through rigorous research, publications, and outreach, while also funding SACAR’s Luminaries of India initiative to revive India’s spiritual heritage. Your gift helps scholars reach students and seekers across India and worldwide, publish important monographs, and strengthen understanding of India’s spiritual evolution. By supporting this fund, you ensure that Sri Aurobindo’s vision and India’s rich spiritual lineage continue to be researched, preserved, and shared.

The Inner Being International Project

The Inner Being Project, founded in Auroville in 2024, shares stories of people and communities living from inner guidance and consciousness. Through interviews, podcasts, short films, and global dialogues, it connects Auroville with kindred individuals worldwide, fostering reflection, growth, and human unity. In its first year, the project conducted 50+ interviews in 12 languages, built an international network, and inspired hundreds to reconnect with their inner purpose. Expansion into Europe and beyond aims to deepen documentation, strengthen global connections, and share the spirit of Auroville with a wider audience.

SACAR – Sri Aurobindo Scholarship Fund

The Sri Aurobindo Scholarship Fund supports a new generation of scholars advancing his work through rigorous research, publications, and outreach, while also funding SACAR’s Luminaries of India initiative to revive India’s spiritual heritage. Your gift helps scholars reach students and seekers across India and worldwide, publish important monographs, and strengthen understanding of India’s spiritual evolution. By supporting this fund, you ensure that Sri Aurobindo’s vision and India’s rich spiritual lineage continue to be researched, preserved, and shared.

Auroville Theater Group

The Auroville Library is a vibrant space with 60,000 books in 10 languages, newspapers, and periodicals, plus a lively children’s room filled with books, games, and creative activities. AUGUST 2025

Delhi Ashram – The Mother’s International School

The school aims to help each child realize their unique potential in the light of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother’s vision of integral education. The nearly 50-year-old building requires urgent expansion and modernization to meet current and future student needs. The proposed new primary wing will feature spacious classrooms, inclusive and sustainable infrastructure, modern labs, clean washrooms, and multipurpose halls. Every donation, regardless of size, brings us closer to giving our children the learning environment they truly deserve.

AV Consulting – Thepakkadu Net Zero Initiative

The Net Zero Emissions Initiative for Theppakadu Village and Elephant Camp aims to make the community a model for climate resilience and sustainability. The project will establish a GHG baseline, create a participatory Net Zero Roadmap, and implement decarbonization strategies while enhancing local livelihoods. Deliverables include an Inception Report and a time-bound Net Zero Roadmap that can be replicated in other protected area settlements.

Auroville Library

Bharat Nivas Yoga & Wellness

Bharat Nivas Yoga and Wellness provides free Yoga, Meditation, Kalaripayattu, and philosophy classes to support the well-being of local villagers, Auroville residents, and visitors. Your donation helps fund scholarships, daily classes, and special programs that preserve ancient wisdom and nurture healing, growth, and community connection.

JUNE 2025

Oli School

Oli School is a Montessori and Free Progress Creche and Kindergarden for 120 kids from the Auroville bioregion. It is situated in the old building of Last School, started in 2010 by two passionate pedagogues 
Oli School is free of charge, supported only by voluntary contributions.

Prisma Audiobooks

Prisma’s Audiobooks initiative shares the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother through high-quality, multilingual audio productions on platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify, reaching listeners in over 80 countries. Launched in 2021, the project continues to grow and seeks funding to expand production, improve technology, and ensure long-term open-access availability.

Purnam Podcast Studio

Purnam Podcast Studio shares the spiritual teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother through free videos, podcasts, and visual content. Your donation helps us build a studio and create high-quality offerings that inspire reflection, inner growth, and conscious living.


MAY 2025

Pazhamudir Cholai

Pazhamudir Cholai is an Auroville women-led farm started by sisters Renuka and Lakshmi. Not only an abundant producer of fruits and dairy, Pazhamudir Cholai draws on local, traditional methods of farming, which it strives to spread, as it also serves as a farming education hub for women and children.
Their produce and fruits include avocados, bananas, custard apples, chikkus, mangoes, limes, as well as varied dairy products.


Delhi Ashram Project Based Learning – Rural School Teacher Training

Project Based Learning and National Education Policy 2020 for Rural Schools is an ongoing training program at Sri Aurobindo Ashram (Delhi Branch). The program is focused on integrating the work of Mother and Sri Aurobindo in the curriculum of rural schools throughout India, to enhance the quality of education. The project has reached 40,000 rural teachers and 300+ schools.


AuroFilm

Aurofilm’s purpose is to promote of the best values of Cinema increasing the audience’s discernment to initiate a change in our human nature. We offer film screenings at MMC, Town Hall, featuring international films, Indian cinema, recent, old, “classics” films, children’s films, documentaries, experimental, and more. The studio is located in the Cultural Zone of Auroville. Aurofilm produce films and hold classes in film appreciation, history of cinema, animation, and more.
