Our Hosts, Maya and Terry Balle

Reverend Maya Balle is an interfaith minister.  She first came to Auroville with Peter Callaway in 1979.  Maya led the Hexiad project connecting Auroville, Findhorn and Arcosanti.  At Darshan she fell in love with the Mother.

In 2004 Maya was again visiting Auroville when the Tsunami destroyed many families.  Maya extended her trip to help Aurovilains. Dr. Terry Balle is a scientist and an artist. He has been an admirer of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. With his background in science he believes STEM education informed by spirit is crucial to the world we live in and he is looking forward to meeting Sriman, and learning more about Yuvabe.

Maya and Terry have pollinator gardens.  With a deep concern for our winged ones they are happy to share their gardens with the Auroville community.
